After leaving the Leamy Ladies, Nellie Pelikan, as Mlle. Zoe, began appearing at Luna Park. Several times a day, she was hoisted to the top of the tower while hanging from a rope by her teeth, where she would do a disrobing act.

When no one was willing to climb the tower to save the incapacitated employee, someone suggested Zoe. What followed was described in the New York Times.
